The Lost Vellum is speculative fiction about the origins of the Staffordshire Hoard. Experts say that the Hoard consists purely of military and religious ceremonial insignia and is unlikely to be the proceeds of a robbery as it contains no coins. How did it come to be buried so close to Lichfield, at that time the capital of Mercia? My thought process is detailed in Stories 2020.

Moonlight Flit was based on Katherine Ferrers, the ‘Wicked Lady’ of highway robbery.
